[VOTE] OpenEJB 3.1.4 release (take 3)

dblevins
Administrator
Oooo-kaaay.  Thanks everyone so much for the patience.  Here we have
another set of binaries that can actually compile and run in Java 5 :)

Third time's the charm!

Release notes:

http://people.apache.org/~dblevins/staging-3.1.4-vote3/3.1.4/RELEASE-NOTES.txt

Repo:

https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapacheopenejb-068/

Binaries:

http://people.apache.org/~dblevins/staging-3.1.4-vote3/

Branch (to become a tag):

http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openejb/branches/openejb-3.1.4/

Rat log:

http://people.apache.org/~dblevins/staging-3.1.4-vote3/rat.log
http://people.apache.org/~dblevins/staging-3.1.4-vote3/rat.xml (ant
script with excludes)

iTests results so far:

http://people.apache.org/~dblevins/staging-3.1.4-vote3/build.xml
http://people.apache.org/~dblevins/staging-3.1.4-vote3/winxp-jdk15.txt
http://people.apache.org/~dblevins/staging-3.1.4-vote3/winxp-jdk16.txt
http://people.apache.org/~dblevins/staging-3.1.4-vote3/osx-jdk16.txt

If someone can capture the output of JDK 1.6 and 1.5 on Linux and
upload it somewhere, that'd be wonderful.  If anyone has an OSX
machine with an actual JDK 1.5 on it and can do that, super!

Here's my +1

Hi,

is somebody else facing a SAAJ problem with webservice-attachments example?
Since last week, i've been also facing stange issues with Maven/OpenEJB and some dependencies like Woden, Netthi, Jaxen.

I guess the only question in my mind is if this is present in 3.1.3 as
well.  If so, then no reason to hold up good fixes from shipping while
we hunt it down.

Re: [VOTE] OpenEJB 3.1.4 release (take 3)

Jean-Louis MONTEIRO
It should be related to Java 5 versus Java 6.
Java 6 --> OK
Java 5 --> KO

So, one dependency should be missed.

Gonna checkout again a 3.1.3 and give it a try.
Can remember if I used a JDK 6 for the last vote.

No worries, the help is appreciated.

I found a solution for getting JDK 1.5 back on my mac:

  http://chxor.chxo.com/post/183013153/installing-java-1-5-on-snow-leopard

Was able to verify we have this issue in 3.1.3 as well, so let's kick
this release out and fix it in a 3.1.5.  We might take the opportunity
to also do that simple JUnit runner as well.  Stephen Connolly has a
bunch of great pom changes in there as well.

Will wrap this one up shortly.
