24 hour notice of svn/email move

dblevins
Administrator
We have our http://openejb.apache.org/ domain setup (still need to
yank the incubator icon) and now we need to move our svn and email
over.  Those will be moved over tomorrow afternoon, so be ready to
'svn switch' or 'svn merge' or otherwise checkin any code you have.

I'll send a note when it's done and as always you can watch this JIRA
issue for updates and details:

  http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-1244

The email change is pretty much transparent - the old addresses
should continue to work (but your filters may need an update :)

Hi,
Has the svn repository moved? No update on jira or the mailing list?

Doesn't look like it yet.  It was a vacation weekend here in the US,
so things may have gotten delayed.  I guess the new time is Real Soon
Now :)

Great :). I was seeing some test failures when running a build. Will
verify if that is a problem with my setup. I thought the reason could
be that migration had happened and i was accessing outdated source.
will double check.

Re: 24 hour notice of svn/email move

Well, the problem is that my machine is too slow to run the tests. The
Mdb tests fail if a response is not recieved in 1000 ms and on my
machine it takes more time than that :).

Can you try increasing that setting until the tests pass reliably?
Then commit the change or submit a patch.

Thanks,

Re: 24 hour notice of svn/email move

Hi ,
Sorry about that. There was an annotated MessageConsumer
class in by environment that was consuming the messages for
AnnotatedFieldInjectionMdbBean. This was causing the tests to fail
with the timeout error which misled me into thinking that timeout was
the problem. I have no clue where that class came from :(.
Anyway deleting it solved the problem.

Manu

That's the PMC list -- all projects have to have one.  For us it's
pretty much a zero email per month list since we do all our decision
making here.

I get this issue too randomly -- really annoying.  Seems you've
investigated it more than I have.

I didn't quite understand the workaround you mentioned, though.  What
do I need to do?

Re: 24 hour notice of svn/email move

manucet
I just deleted the file that was there. I think during svn update one
of the deleted files in the central repo was not removed from my local
repo so that class which i think was an MDB got deployed and also
consumed messages from the same queue. It also used to print MESSAGE.
So some messages got consumed by this MDB and some by the other
resulting in tests failing. So i think what we should do is generate a
patch after an svn update and see if there is any diff with the
central repo.

Manu
